TMUA preparation
Ten sets of original TMUA mock papers with full solutions, most of them harder than the real thing. Sit them under exam conditions, then use the tools below to turn mistakes into marks.
How to use these papers
A good routine: sit a paper timed in Drill, mark it, and log your score on Results. Every question you miss goes into Review mistakes, which brings it back after 1, 3 and 7 days. Use the Technique index to drill the methods you keep missing. Not sure which set to start with? See where to start.
Newest sets: L and K
Set L is the hardest set so far: both papers rate higher than any earlier paper, with the longest computations in the collection. Set K puts heavy computation next to short questions that turn on a single idea, with olympiad techniques hidden inside AS content. Both sets are locked: how unlocking works. Every set, newest first, is listed under All mock sets.
Set L, Paper 2
Set K, Paper 1
Set K, Paper 2
All mock sets
Newest first. Sets A to D are free for everyone; Sets E onwards unlock with a code or with coins. Every paper is original, and solutions are separate downloads, so each paper can be sat cold. The numbers are difficulty ratings on the 4.5 to 9.0 scale.
Set L
The hardest set so far: both papers rate higher than any earlier paper, with the longest computations in the collection.
Set K
Heavy computation next to short questions that turn on a single idea, with olympiad techniques hidden inside AS content.
Set J
Keeps to the official TMUA specification and the style of the 2022 and 2023 papers. Its difficulty comes from parameters, casework and structure, not content beyond the syllabus.
Set E
The gentlest locked set: the natural next step once you have worked through the free Sets A to D.
Set D
The gentlest rated free set, and the one to sit straight after Set A. Both papers are in the hard band.
Set A
A gentler entry point, with questions and worked solutions in one document.
Practice tools
Smart Practice
Questions chosen to suit your level as it changes, then an estimate of your level, your strongest and weakest topics, and what to practise next.
Drill
Full papers under exam conditions, technique drills with a solution after every answer, and a weakest-first queue built from your mistakes.
Question bank
All 120 questions from the free Sets B to D, ranked from 4.5 to 9.0, filterable by paper and technique, each playable on the spot.
Technique index
Every question filed by the idea that cracks it: telescoping, invariants, the inverse-function rectangle, and the rest.
Review mistakes
Every question you get wrong comes back after 1 day, then 3, then 7. Clear the 7-day review and it is mastered.
Results
Log a paper score anonymously and see how it compares with everyone else who has sat the same paper.
Mock interviews
Admissions interview practice: twenty-five minutes, one original problem in parts you can't see in advance, a nudge button that counts against you, and a locked debrief.
